Hi All,

Am looking at heading out to the Alps for a few days of the tour.

Has anyone been recently and could give me some information about the best way to plan?

Thanks

Not really sure what you're looking for. But I would start with the route (have a look at the TdF website) pick which stages you want to see and then try booking some hotels. That tends to be the limiting factor. I saw it last year on Ventoux, Alpe d'Huez, Semnoz (Annecy) and the finish in Paris, apart from Paris, the biggest problem was getting nearby hotels.
  • If you're planning on seeing the riders near or at the top of a mountain - get there early.

I've been caught out a couple of times with overzealous Gendarmes closing the road long before the riders arrive
