Trail builders/ building/ funding

Hi, my school are looking to build a short skills loop, track in and around our grounds. Has anybody any experience of trail builders or acquiring funding for similar projects, is this something British cycling might back and fund maybe?

    I doubt British Cycling would fund it, they might be willing to assist in the planning. Sounds like the sort of thing that would normally be either volunteer built or council funded.
    A Flock of Birds
    + some other bikes.
