Hi,
So, I was mown down on the weekend and left for dead, so I've decided that its time to get a camera, I've found the Muvi HD10 on sale with a waterproof case for about £100 new. But from where I'm looking it looks a bloody monstrousity, sitting so high up on the bars on on your helmet, has anyone experience of these ? Can they be mounted sideways, or even upside down to reduce the naff look ??
Otherwise, whos used the bullet shaped ones ? There seems to be a few out there for sale. Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
Sean

Mown down and left for dead, sounds nasty
The commuters like their camera's so maybe ask over there"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Quick precis, out on training ride, coming back into town, guy tries to run me off the road, as per usual. Difference was I managed to evade but crashed into car in front, got off the bike, standing in the middle of the road at the roundabout, guy who tried to knock me off sitting stopped, staring at me and screaming, purple in the face, when the guy that I hit moved off to round the corner to stop and see if I was okay, this lunatic jumps off the brakes and floors the gas, hits my bike which is square across the road, hits me directly behind the bike, throws me and the bike in the air, bounce off the windscreen of the car.
9.00 on a Saturday morning in a quiet home counties village, witnesses everywhere. The police caught up with him later in the day and arrested him, spent the weekend in the local nick and is bailed awaiting charges.
No sh*t, ran me down like a rabid dog.
Only want the video so I can show me grandkids next time ;-)0 -

I've got one and yes, it would be better if it mounted lengthways instead of vertically. If you mount it sideways you will get tall, narrow video and will need to rotate it during editing. I've tried it on my bars and forks - lots of shake - and clipped to a backpack strap which is probably the best option - if you wear a backpack. You can also get a chest harness - not supplied
Bar mounted on road after a LOT of shake removal by Youtube

Strap mounted on MTB

I can't get it to stay on my helmet with the supplied acccessories - strap just slips off.
Not sure if it's any worse than a GoPro though and less than 1/2 the price with lots of accessories. Works well on my kayak deck.0
