Am in the market for a new bike £1000 to spend.
I have seen this, full 105 groupset, http://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-105-5700-groupset-oem-66608.html
£300 - so £700 to spend. Any advice on frameset and keep me within budget?
Remember, I only have £1000 to spend, well, £700
Appreciate your advice on framesets.
Cheers

So you have £700 for just a frame or is it £700 for the frame, wheels / tyres and all the finishing kit?"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

£300 for 10 speed years old 105? Nah.
Get the 11 speed brand new 105 for £330 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... prod1164770 -
Cycling plus did an article on £1000 bikes in the last couple of months - worth a look. From memory most had 105 setups.0

Or just blow the budget on this with Ultegra as a complete bike....

If the £700 is to cover the cost of frameset, wheels and finishing kit, then you'll end up looking for a £400 frameset which will not be easy to find!
You'd be better off buying a complete package from the likes of Planet X, Ribble or some new old stock from some other source.0 -
