Hi,
Need to replace the GXP BB on the Boardman Carbon.
Maybe I'm being daft but I can't find one to buy with black cups. All the Sram ones now just seem to have grey cups which will look naff on the black frame. Tart... Maybe.
Any help?
Thanks

Wont he need a converter for those? They are standard Hollowtech II cups (24mm) by the look of it.0 -

No idea what the axle is on the Boardman. I'm sure it's not the only Token BB one can buy - but it's evidence they (as do Hope) do them in black. Took 2 minutes, the rest he can do himself0 -

Great, so you've found out for him that Token and Hope make BB Cups for a different type of Chainset than the one he has.
To the OP, if you are after 68mm threaded then http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SRAM-TRUVATIV-GXP-BOTTOM-BRACKET-ENGLISH-68-BLACK-NEW-/321377429201?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item4ad39666d10 -
To be fair, Hope do a converter doohickey to turn their HT2 BB's into GXP compatible BB's (so that it's essentially 24mm axle drive side, 22mm non drive side). Token don't, as far as i'm aware.
But from previous experience i've found that the converters never seem to work that well so your better off just buying a direct GXP replacement, rather than fiddling around with fractional spacers to get the tension on the cups just right.0 -

Well, firstly it says out of stock for English thread and then says "Please note that this bottom bracket may be supplied in either silver or black depending upon availability" and seeing as they seem to have changed to silver I expect it won't 'do'.
Have you ever considered a career in Customer Service for BT?0 -
Ha Yeh glad it's not just me struggling. I would need an adapter for the first two, the black one on eBay I had seen but looks fake and people already spotted the issue with the one from ribble. Can't believe Srams lack of replacement like for like part. I'm not being lazy I've spent quite a while looking.0

Boardman FS Pro0 -
