got a LOOK 675, great bike, however i have a rubbing noise that is doing my head in.

its odd, as brakes are not rubbing, shoes are not rubbing against crank arms. it sounds like its coming from the left side. bizarrely today it generally stopped when i looked down to try and locate it if that makes sense.

it doesnt happen when in the stand, so got to be force being applied, but dont know what to do.

Nope, it's not a consistent rub, it's every revolution. Just tried to get the bike to do it at home again, but no. The only other thing I can think is my fat thighs rubbing! Lol

yes, but if the bb/chainset is flexy it can cause the chain to rub on the front mech once a revolution, you'll only notice it under power

Someone else said that, but I thought look bikes were one of the stiffest out there, and running ultegra!

Have a quick squiz over the frame - if anything is rubbing consistently then it will leave a mark - this should be a giveaway to what it causing it.

Cleats all ok and not worn/dried out (can cause a squeak/rubbing noise)? Also pedals all ok?

Might need to check pedals, but speedplays so no grease gun!

    FD cable hitting crank arm?

Nope, though this might be the the problem at first but bent the cable back so it points straight up so not that !

Check chainset, when my Giant was built they must have tigthened up one side fully then the other. Spent ages with BB and derailler setting up before that, thought BB has knackered or BB tube was off center.
    Say... That's a nice bike..

father jack do you mean the crankset at the bb? i have thought about this but havent got round to checking it yet, assuming you mean the same thing?

The chainrings. Those five bolts not tightened evenly so chainrings were wobbling, and thought BB tube problem
