do you ever need to grease the gears?

assume I have received my new bike...
completely cleaned and degreased the chain and gears
Applied Squirt lube to the chain
Do I need to at this point do anything with the gears? or is lubing the chain the only thing I need to focus on.

Yes, just chain. Mech pivot points too, but would use actual oil rather than Squirt.0
