Hi, i've been tearing my hair out trying to decide which bike to get. I live near Hamsterley Forrest so will spend most of my time there. I had a Scott Genius MC40 last year which i sold, and to be honest never had a problem with it. I'm 6'1" and 15 stone with 34" inseam, not bothered about massive jumps, and doesn't need to be the latest model if there are discounts around.
I have around £2k and so far have been looking at the following:-
2013 Scott Genius 930, available for £1900 from £2900
Whyte T-129s, only problem was one bike shop said the large was too small, another bike shop said it was ok!
Giant Trance 650b, which i have a test ride booked for this weekend
2009 Santa Cruz Blur LT which a friend is selling for £1600, and doesn't have a speck of dirt on it!
Canyon Nerve AL 7.9
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Cheers
Lee

The boss of Team Cycles seems to be tearing around there gobbling up the KOM's on a steel framed cyclocross bike - so perhaps one of those?0

These are very good and a bargain.
Genius is a bit of a tank for trail centres and the Trance has a terrible fork and weird size headset.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
