I am riding a Genesis Io singlespeed and rigid for xc.
Currently running Racing Ralphs 2.1.
Tyres need changing and wheels could possibly be upgraded.
I would like to fit a 29er front wheel keeping 26 in the rear.
I am aware that this would upset the geometry as fork is standard 80/100mm corrected not too sure what it means, but understand its going to upset the geometry.
If I was to fit a 650b upfront how much would this upset my geometry?
Could I add an 80mm suspension fork to counteract the wheel and geo?
Does anyone sell a fork for 29er wheel in a 26" bike?
Should I just fit a big wide 26" tyre upfront?
Any suggestions?

Chances are an 26" rigid fork will happily take a 29" wheel. Time to get out the tape/ruler/calipers/something.

    Thanks Warpcow.
A 29er wheel will fit in the fork.
However I expect the wheel to sit higher and throw out the geometry.
    Is this a problem?
    What are the alternatives?

It will throw out the geometry, by the same as fitting a 30mm longer travel fork, a 650B front wheel by the same as fitting a 12.5mm longer fork.

The latter you could get away with, for the former you need a shorter AtoC fork.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Not short, but shorter, as I don't know what you have now, how can I find one 30mm shorter?

    The fork is a Genesis butted Cr-Mo, 80 / 100 mm-corrected
    Fitted to a Genesis Io
