Really cheap road bike for Turbo

All,

Quite happy with my road bike, but would rather sling a super cheapy in the Turbo so that I can leave it set up all the time....

What is the cheapest road bike, new, on the market at the moment?

    Bit of a no brained really. Get the car era or Viking from halfwords or something or Google for a cheap road bike.

    Why not get a cheap and knackered bike from Ebay or gumtree. Then if you like the look of it you can refurbish it over time as a project.
    If it doesn't have to be a road bike, you can find old mountain bikes at the local tip for a tuppance. As long as the rear wheel still goes it doesn't really matter beyond that? Put a slick tire on the back and away it goes!

    Agree with above. I had the same dilemma and was able to pick up a beat up Raleigh Elan for £40, stripped it cleaned it and it's been on the turbo ever since. Only replaced saddle and stuck on last years' tyres from my main bike.
