Any TT guys out there with an idea on framing sizing. I'm thinking of getting one of these as a first tt frame. Road bikes I have are usually 535 top tube (typically S size frames, M always feels too long) running a 120 or 130 stem which is a perfect fit. Road saddle height about 740 with setback about 65mm (i realise thats somewhat dependent on saddle version) I'm 5'9 and the Argon sizing chart is here...

...which suggests a small or medium but from experience these are often incorrect. I also read recommendations to downsize top tube which would mean an XS but at 5'9 Id be surprised I'm on the their smallest frame.

Maybe worth mentioning road bike sizing is from numerous bike fits so the above is all dialled in.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I've an argon TT frame. My colnago is 537mm top tube and my custom steel is 540mm, both with 100mm stems. I've gone with a small argon +100mm stem (tried 110 and changed it), fits perfect for me. I'm 5' 7" for reference.

Hard to say for certain considering you don't have stack and reach for a TT fit, but were I to make an educated guess I'd put you on an S. Keep in mind that you're dealing with a very different position as the steeper seat angle will put you in a more forward position (necessary to keep an open hip angle whilst staying aero). Combine that with a shorter stem (I'd be surprised if you needed longer than 100mm once you're properly fitted) and you should be alright.

Of course what you should actually do is get fitted properly as some geometries simply don't work for some people (much more pronounced with TT bikes).

well it's a good start hearing the small could be a fit. I do intend to get fitted on it before I part with cash but there's only one left and I may get it for a good price so keen to not miss the boat.
