Shimano cleats

Hi guys.Is anyone having the same problem as me,my cleats seem to be wearing out very quickly.I ride in traffic a bit but surely they should last longer then a month without falling apart.Has anyone had the same problems .

    Can you be more specific about what you mean by "wearing out"?

    I make the assumption you are using SPD SL cleats. If you are referring to the coloured lugs breaking / wearing then they have nothing to do with retention they are to primarily stop you slipping. If it is something else as above details and pics would help.

    I was wondering this. I started using cleats for the first time around 3 weeks ago (Shimano SPD-SL's), and on both cleats, two of the yellow tabs have already worn off. I suspect I'm damaging them whilst walking around, so I'm going to buy new cleats with some protectors.

    How much are you walking in them? I've been on the same pair for three years now and the left one (my 'unclipping in traffic' side) is only just starting to wear through the tip of the yellow. I rarely walk more than 20 meters in them, though.

    don't bother getting new cleats until you notice a difference clipping in or out, as others have said the yellow bits have nothing to do with clipping in.
