Cantilever Brake Pads

Have Tektro Oryx canti brakes and they are not great in the wet. Will I notice any difference using Koolstop pads (or another brand) instead of the Tektro ones? I don't mind if they wear quickly, as long as the braking is more effective.

    had these on my commute bike, they're not good, better pads make a noticeable improvement - i fitted koolstop salmon - but the best improvement was changing the front to dual pivot calipers
    my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
