Looks well, wheels compliment it imo.
Those cable lengths up front look a biy overlong/untidy but otherwise nice one!

Yup it is. Not the cheapest but very comfy and seems to be holding up well.

  • Almost thought it was a Trek with all those spacers. Could you have gone for a bigger frame and got a better set up?
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

That is a great weight, what's been a rough cost for the build, I want do one very similar.

And whoever fitted the tyres should be commended for taking the time to line the decals up...

I got all of the components at a fair discount so not too bad really. I think the 2014 ultegra build is around a similar price to what it cost me to build this up.

    Frame and fork was £1200
    Sram red was around £1000
    Ksyrium slr £800
Bars stem and post were £250 ish.

Yeah pretty bang on, I think the Ultegra version is £3099. But you've got red...all the Ultegra has is a Rotor crank. I really want one of these frames, colour is just a bit different.

As a fellow R3 owner I'm completely biased, but mmmm that looks good. Wheels look great with it.

For anyone wondering if the R3 is stable, I hit 58.3 mph on mine today. Also on Ksyrium SLR wheels and I was happy to have the improved braking

Does anyone know whether you can fit 25mm tyres on the R3 as I wouldn't mind softening (stiff frame, stiff wheels) the ride up a bit.

Yeah would think 25s would fit no bother. I've got 23mm Conti GP4000s on mine and there's plenty clearance.
