Good to see Athletics taking doping seriously....a 1 year post dated ban for a world class athlete in the show piece event who tested positive 3 times. Post dated so he can't compete over winter, however did he cope. :( No doubt it my mind that athletics is absolutely filthy with it now.

It wasn't athletics that gave him a ban, it was USADA. It's increasingly obvious they are a soft touch if you tell them what they want to hear.

The same USADA who endlessly hounded Armstrong et al for years at huge expense. Strange really.

No, it's the same USADA that, after years of inaction, finally moved against Armstrong once the whole case had been laid on a plate for them.

No, but wait... Mr Justin Gatlin tested positive twice (2001 and 2006) and was twice banned, but... he was still there to get a medal in London 2012, running his PB... USADA are definitively serious about doping, once you retire from the sport...

I thought that a lot of athletes have been taking doping seriously for quite some time now. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Gay has supposedly chucked some coaches / suppliers under the bus to get the reduced ban. Be interesting to see if anything transpires.
