Hi, going over to the isle of man during TT practice week and looking to gomountain biking most days. Just wondering if anyone has any mountain bike routes to share that are easy to access from Port Erin? Had a look at Isle of man mountain bike club etc. just hoping someone has a few more to share!
Thanks

    Alright

I live in Port Erin, but am at university across in Newcastle unfortunately.

Where in Port Erin are you staying first off? Be sure to check out the Bay pub, and also the Falcon's Nest and the Station for food.

The bike shop, Erin Bike Hut, will give you lots of ideas, they are proper sound guys.

In terms of riding, there is a series of routes in a leaflet produces by the government, which is useful.

In terms of man made trails, there are a few at South Barrule plantation and then around Cringle plantation area there are some which were built recently for the Manx Grav Enduro rd1.

From Port Erin, the "Southern Comfort" loop is easily accessible without any driving, and its easy to link to South Barrule trails from there.

The final run down to Port Erin from Cronk y Arrey Laa is pretty decent, with good views.

Be careful when riding on roads in TT, it can get very very busy.

Sure you'll enjoy it though. The Manx People are proper friendly.
If you want any more info, shout up

Do you know if its possible to ride down South Barrule? (Not the plantation) ive seen videos on youtube but wasnt a 100% if it could be ridden legally...
Also is it okay to ride round Bradda head?

RE South Barrule & Bradda Head.

South Barrule is all on footpath, though I know it is possible and have heard it is a good ride...
Bradda Head is okay to have a blast round at the end of the ride. Watch out for those cliffs though, fall off and you're a gonner...
