"Stealth" / Low Logo Look Bikes

Mrs has given me the all clear to purchase myself a new bike. I really like the gloss logo on anodised look or other various bikes that don't cover every spare inch in their brand name.

My price bracket is around £1,500

So far on my travels, I've spotted the Ribble R872, the Cinelli Saetta Radical Plus, a few of the Rose Xeons. What other options are there?

I love the Cinelli but am not a fan of Campagnolo shifters that I've tried in a shop (I think my hands are too small). I really like the SRAM double tap which puts the Xeon RS 4400 in my sights, but to be honest would be happy with 105 so puts the R872 well under budget. I know they're all great bikes but is there something better that I don't know about?

Indeed, but is it £1500 worth

While a beautiful bike, I think the wheelset alone is out of my budget...

Current CAAD10 Frameset is going for £800 in black on black. That leaves you £700 for wheels, group, finishing kit. You could definitely get 105, decent wheels and slinky finishing kit for your budget. SRAM would be trickier but not impossible.

Well, I am obviously biased as I have an 872. For £1500 you could get an 872 with Ultegra 6800 then upgrade the wheels at a later date. One of the best value performance bikes there is imo. When I get round to it I will post mine up. I have 105 and a new set of carbon clinchers on mine to comply with the stealth rules!

Import it from Germany. No customs or extras as part of EU.

I bought the Caad10 Black inc version from thebikeshop.de last year. They'll knock another 10% of listed price and another 3% if you use a bank transfer.
Can't fault their service , bike arrived set up ready to ride within a week.

By my reckoning , you could pick one up for £1300 odd quid from them.

Yikes. That CAAD is beautiful. I think I have a new front-runner. Thanks!
