Which first road bike? Cycle scheme.

Hi guys, currently looking to buy my first road bike due to work setting up the cycle scheme.
Looking to use the max £1000 allowance I'm allowed and will also need a helmet and shoes too.
Couples of bikes I've been looking at are the Planet X RT-58 Tiagra and a Ribble 7005 Sportive built up with Shimano 105 and Mavic Aksium wheels which would leave me with about £100.
The Ribble would obviously be nicer because I know in time I'd want to upgrade the Tiagra components.
Any other options for me to look at? Cheers.

Both good choices. You might want to think about if you want full mudguards for winter, in which case the Ribble Winter Trainer might make sense. Also look at merlin Cycles own brand bikes & especailly the Sensa bikes they offer - they do cyclescheme too.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

The winger trainer looks a bit too racey for my liking, geo wise.
I can live without mudguards but I want something comfy to ride as my first road bike. I reckon the Ribble sportive will be the one.0 -
Gone for the 7005 Sportive with Shimano 105 and Mavic Aksium wheels. Just put my order through.0
