Annoyingly, I can't really offer my own comments on this, as I'm involved in the legal case surrounding it, but I was hoping that some of you might be willing to sign the Musicians' Union's petition against the National Theatre replacing the live musicians in their highly successful production, War Horse, with computer generated and pre-recorded tracks.

Thanks to any of you willing to sign!

    Signed ...

Nuts replacing musicians with recordings - may as well go to the cinema or watch a DVD ...

It's debatable how much pre-programmed synth music should be used too - but at least the musician is usually the one operating the kit.

Isn't the whole point of a theatre production that it's a live performance? Will they have a pre-recorded track of the musicians warming up as you make your way to your seat?
