Hi all I am building a road bike for my girlfriend as she moves over to cycling from athletics she hasn't really cycled much but is fit so is hoping to do quite long rides, unlikely to include racing any time soon.
I am therefore looking for recommendations for saddles for women newbies that provide a reasonable amount of comfort from the off rather than having to wait for the rear end to adapt.

Don't assume that saddles have to be women specific. Top female racer friend of ours suggested my daughter try a Specialised Toupe 143, man's saddle. She was dubious, but it turns out to be the best saddle she's used. Good for 100+ miles. Previously she'd tried Spesh Jet, Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow and some others I forget. Plenty of men's saddles in the women's peleton.

The Prologo Kappa didn't fit my wife ... so there's one off your list! ;)
