Define 'a bit of travel'. All FS bikes come with this feature as standard, just some have a bit more than others
Define intended use of bike. What sort of riding do you do?
Why 26" only? 27.5" (650B) isn't really much different and currently offers more choice (new anyway). Wheelsize doesn't define the bike.0 -
Bit vague there OP.
What type of riding do you do? Where do you normally ride? Maybe go to your LBS and try out some bikes?Commencal Ramones Cromo 13 - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129269380 -

ok currently i have a hardtail, outgrown massively added some trick components but isn't worth the money.
the reason i left it vague is because i wanted to know what others would buy.
for me personally a bit of travel is more than the standard 100 or 120 (i have been looking at 160) this year i am doing 2 events 24hr endurance race (mountain mayhem) and north to south coast wales 250miles aprox. i know it is more xc riding but i want a all mountain or enduro i think as i have started to do a bit of down hill, some jumps.... but i still want to pedal so can't go full downhill plus i want to be able to reach the top before i descend in a cloud of smoke more than likely.0 -
the reason i said 26 as well is because i rode a 29er and didn't like it wanted to stay with what i know0

No doubting that has a good spec for the money
Genius is a bit Marmite though. I rode one, admittedly a few years older than that one, and really didnt get on with it at all. Too 'short' was, I think, the main problem - but it just wasn't for me.0
