I have booked a small cottage in Rookhope in a few weeks time for when Im doing the C2C route. I've swapped a couple of emails with the cottage owner today and thankfully she mentioned that the Rookhope Inn has closed down and so not to rely on them for my evening meal.
She suggested that as the landlord closed the pub at short notice, and left taking with him the booking diary, it is possible that people have made bookings but don't yet know it is closed. Just thought I ought to share that nugget of info with anyone who has made a booking, or was relying on them for an evening meal
