Didn't go for the Ti version as weight saving is a claimed 12g. Curious as to how scoop users rate the saddle on a road bike and how you set them up....level from nose to tail or level in the middle ? I hated the threads on the spoon which caused wear on shorts and the scoop looks like a very nicely designed product at a fabulous price , £31.94 delivered from Tredz.

First time I read that I wondered why if you hated threads on the Spoon you'd started one on the Scoop.
I'd be interested to hear how you get on as I'm considering one.

I've got one on my mountain bike, great saddle.

As for levelling it, well on the mountain bike it's angled slightly backwards so I wouldn't know

I'm running a cro-mo scoop on a synapse, and the Ti variant on a Caad10. Lovely saddles both. I've set then with the central sections flat. The Ti has a slightly more sprung feel to it. I put in 100 miles on Saturday including some fairly sketchy b- roads, and felt none the worse for it, despite it being a "racy" aluminium bike.

Is the nose of the saddle pointing upwards or towards the ground ?

It's pointing down a little, the back looks a little high, but the central part is dead flat.

  • Had a Charge Spoon for over a year, no problems with the stitching at all. Bit of a myth i think.

Only £19 on some sites, absolute bargain and comfortable as hell.

The Scoop on both my road bikes look exactly like the pic above, very slightly pointing down. I used to get some bobbling on my shorts and chaffing from the Charge Spoon's stitching, which is a shame because otherwise its a brilliant saddle. So far, the Scoop has been perfect and wouldn't hesitate to recommend one. I have the Cro-mo version, didn't see the point in the Ti rails.

I ordered a spoon earlier to see what all the fuss is about :)
