i have the chance of a colnago frame which is in stock, think its the only shop in the world which has one in stock, but the shop is shiny bikes and they seem to have a lot of unhappy customers,
so guess my last chance of getting this frame has gone?

So if you guess your last chance has gone, why post the thread?
However crap Shiny Bikes might be, presumably they still manage to do OK for the vast majority of their transactions or they'd be bankrupt. Also, you are just buying a frame so there is only so much that can go wrong there. You have credit card protection and distance selling regs behind you. If you want the frame that much just go and buy it. The world won't collapse in on itself whatever happens but you probably will end up with the Colnago you want - isn't that worth taking a small risk for?Faster than a tent.......0 -

My experience with them (buying a Chorus groupset) was fine...but I phoned them up, checked it was actually in stock, and then did the transaction over the phone. Two days later it turned up. All good. Maybe the phone approach is better than ordering on-line.0

I'd say this is by far the best approach with Shiny Bikes. I tend to collect from them as i'm not a million miles from their warehouse and so know them a bit now. They do have a habit of not keeping their stock list up to date so best to ring and confirm before placing an order there and then.0 -

That's what I've done with them too and the conversation has always had "and you've definitely definitely got it there and they it will definitely be in the post today right?" in it. Not had a problem myself, but wouldn't order without a call like that involved (sometimes two calls ).0 -
its out of stock in team red but i can order 1 with 12weeks for delivery0
