anyone used a spech storm control

was out on some natural trails that had be made fairly moist by some heavy overnight rain. currently tyres are conti mountain king 2.2s BC which were fine for most things but downhill braking (not checked my pants yet lol ). don't want an out and out mud tyre but something that has more grip than the MKs in mud. Its not thick mud but just soft surface about 1.5-2 inch thick at the most. alternatives welcomed too

    Hi, got storm control but don't use it unless really muddy/boggy. Currently using a ground control on the rear and a purgatory control on the front - pretty good grip on Cairngorms loop last weekend in variety of conditions.
