Calculating Gradient?

Hi
I've created several routes using Garmin Connect which shows the elevation profile of the route. The routes are approximately 100 miles and while the elevation profile shows the feet/metres climbed it does not show the gradient at stages. It is also not possible for me to calculate this manually as the profile is not that detailed.
I have these routes in .FIT format from Garmin and .GPX format from gpsvisualiser.com but I was wondering if there is any website that will show me the gradients at certain sections. While I can see that there are challenging inclines at certain points of the route I would like to know whether these are steady 5% inclines or more challenging 15%, 20%.
Cheers
Rob

Won't your legs tell you?Red bikes are the fastest.0

If you're on Strava, link your account to http://veloviewer.com this will give you 3D gradient maps of your routes.Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

I have a Edge and use Connect but I never create routes via their site.
Instead I use either bikeroutetoaster or now more usually ridewithgps. Both sites enable you to transfer courses to the Edge which can then be followed when you're on your bike. I've just double checked ridewithgps and this gives you gradient.
You might be able to export the Connect route and load it into ridewithgps, or simply re-create the route in there - only takes a few minutes.0 -
Discoboy - My legs will certainly tell me but I wanted to know what is coming up before I arrive there lol
BrandonA - Thanks for that, it seems to do exactly what I want it to0 -

To the OP. All this electronic gear you have on board and you can't simply push a button to mark the spot, for future reference, where the road picks up in steepness?
What's the point in having all this gear onboard if it doesn't tell you anything you don't already know(i.e. your legs are starting to scream).0 -
Create the route on Strava. That gives you an elevation profile and let's you trace the gradients. You can then download the route to your device as either a TCX or GPX file.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
