I'm trying to remove a BB86 Pressfit BB, so bought the Superstar BB remover:

But I have no idea how it works

The collar is supposed to open, rest against the bearing, then I tap it out. Sounds simple, but I can't get the collar to open, I just pass the tool through the hole and it comes out the other side!

Anyone else got one? Inspiration as to how it works?

Do you not remove end first?

Looks to me as though you just block the BB opening of the side bearing you want to remove with a block of wood, your hand, etc., and push the whole tool against it from the opposite side until it causes the expanding collar to slide up the taper on the drift and expand enough to catch the bearing race. I hope that makes sense.

Pass through from the opposite side and then push against the collet/collar such that it engages on the inner bore of the bearing and then drift-out with a hammer
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Thanks all, I thought I was missing something. I the way the website puts it, the collar just "opens" automatically, which obviously wasn't happening. I'll give the suggestions a go. Cheers.

Thanks! Hope I have more luck than the reviewer though!
