So I just got the call from Stif. My ninja black Nomad has arrived :-D

I still have to wait a little while though :-( the frame has to go off to invisiframe as there isn't a kit available yet, as they've never had one to design one, and because I dithered over whether I wanted enve M70 thirty rims instead of wtb ones (guess which I went for?) my choice has to be built and the work shop is slammed with work.

Spec is the xx1 build with the vivid air shock. I'm having the stock 800mm bars trimmed to 770 to start with but may go further as I'm not that broad. Also adding an MRP skid plate and Burgtec Penthouse MKIVs because, frankly, I hate my shins.

Pics as soon as they become available, should be 10-14 days

It finally came! Looking forward to this so much! Take pictures stage by stage of its build rather than just the final product for max excitement though.

Sorry cqc, I won't be the one doing the building, that pleasure falls to a couple of good mates that work at stif, but I'll ask then for progress pics as it comes along :-)

It was sent to invisiframe on Monday, that's the last I heard. No idea how long they need it for, but once that's done it gets slotted into stifs workshop queue. With a bit of luck I *think* I should be astride it the weekend of 31st/1st. If not I'll start putting a bit of pressure on as I've got an uplift booked for the weekend after.

So, an update, because of the way Santa Cruz get that oh so awesome stealthninja paint scheme (using 2 different types of lacquer to get the gloss on matte effect) when you put the invisiframe over the top, the logos disappear completely. So what lee at IF is doing is experimenting with covering the logos with a vinyl sticker to try and make it stand up off the matte backing. I'll be getting photos on Thursday to see if I like it, (will post pics for opinions!) if not then ill can the idea of invisiframe I think. (Those of you who have seen sam flanagan's will have noticed he has white logos, now you know why...)

Build date for the bike is 30th of May so will, fingers crossed be riding it the weekend after next!

Saw on invisiframe's twitter a photo of a black nomad w/ vivid air and some rather nice looking white decals... could be your frame?

I saw the Instagram photos and I'd say it actually looks better with the white decals
I personally like the brand name to stand out or at least have some contrasting colours on the bike

What happened to the White invisiframe decals? Did he scrap them?

I was never having white SC logos, Sam Flanagan did on his race bike. We thought about putting black vinyl under the IF but it looked rubbish so in the end the SC logo isn't covered, but the rest of the frame is. I'm not sold to the white enve stickers though. Think I prefer the grey ones like on the solo so they'll be changed when I can get some, or have some made up.

Did they build it with 175 cranks? I need some of those wheels for mine 8) Will build the Solo first I think.

Cheers rick, no, not been out yet, had a busy day sat them had already been booked out for a a road ride today, probably going to have an evening ride at some point this week, subject to work.

Not sure on the cranks, not measured them! Re the wheels, they look meg beefy! A fair bit deeper and wider than the AM models on the solo. Not had time to check the weight against the others yet but according to enve, they should to be tooo dissimilar. Looking forward to first ride now!
