Shin Pads

Please, can someone recommend a pair of Shin Pads only; not ones which also cover the knees?
This is mainly about protection against the pins on flat pedals: preference being pads which are light and unrestrictive whilst offering adequate protection, rather than anything heavy duty.
THANKS

Shin guards are generally the heavy duty downhill type, I'm not sure if you can get light ones.
I find shin guards too restrictive and heavy even for downhill.
Have you thought about why you are having problems? Maybe it's a technique thing?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I bought a new pedals which I have not fitted yet, and so I am still using the cheap pedals with toe clips my bike came with. It's just that I've heard stories of riders not wearing protection ripping their shins open using flat pedals with pins.0

Good flats will cause a lot less injuries than toe clips!
Having good, grippy shoes will keep your feet in the right place and if your feet are on the pedals then your shins are safe!Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Football ones Will be fine. You slip pedals more with flats with small pins than with big pins0
