I'm looking at upgrading my Ultegra compact 50/34 chainset to a Dura Ace 52/36 chainset,
will I notice much difference in the two sizes ?

The 52 chainring will theoretically provide a higher top gear but depends on whether you've got the legs to turn it fast enough. If you regularly use the 34 chainring with the biggest cassette sprocket, you may find steep hills a bit tougher.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Thanks for the reply, I can't remember the last time I used the first two sprockets when in the small chainring. I think a little higher gearing would be useful ! Thanks again for the advice.
