Considering these options (as budget is £200 tops inc memory card). Will be used for recording MTB rides on various terrain in various locations (Quantocks, Haldon, Wales, etc);
This one direct from Tosh for £179.99;

and this for £149.99 from Argos;
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/se ... R-AS15.htm
Both tick most boxes (1080P/60, various mounts, etc) although the Tosh looks stunning value compared to the GoPros, etc. Have also considered Contour Roam, ION, Drift, etc but have narrowed it down to these.
Question is...which one would suit my needs most? Is there anything else I need to consider? Has anyone got either and can offer an opinion??

A quick google shows you can get a gopro for about £160 if you shop around, they're by far the best out there imo.0

It depends on where you're going to mount it. If you're mainly going to use it on your chest, then a GoPro 3 White will be your best option with a very good depth on it's casing.
However, much cheaper options are available in a bullet shape. For example, I got a Polaroid XS100 for myself for a new years present for £110 and to be honest in bright daylight, it's crisper than a GoPro 3 White IMO. On the bad side is the size and the angle though. Similar issue with the Ion Air Pro (the 1st one)
Basically you get what you pay for. and for most cameras £100-200 they offer 1080p @30fps and 720p at 60fps. The Toshiba looks great and unusually good for it's price tag. I'd go for that if I were you.My god road cycling is scary! I'm going to keep my relaxing rides to the trails where everything is green, fast and less crazy.0 -
