Yo mofos, need to get me some mint summer tyres.

running gp4000s during winter, no issues. but got a new bike and need to replace the hutch equinox's. must be 25mm though

i cant find any decent recent comparisons online that breaks stuff down into sub sections of tyre quality, so what is the grippiest road tyre in the dry in existence in ppls experience/opinion.

i dont care about cost, durability, rolling resistance, puncture proofness, or what im using the bike for, just grip.

should i get some more conti gp4000s (maybe the ii's, what about force/attack) or for out and out grip should i get something else, maybe mich pro 4 'grip' (but that improved grip is only in relation to the wet it seems??) or some schwalbe ultremos of some sort?

many thanks.

any tyre opinions appreciated, but dont bother saying save money on an allrounder, thats not what i want or need. its all about grip.

What about trying the new (MK III?) GP4000's?
They must be out soon if not already.

are these grippier than the service comp 'grip' ones?

Michelin claims they're 7% more grippy than service course.

They're very soft and won't last you very long, but they come into their own when its wet and you really need the grip.

yes but is the compound equally as 'better grippy' in the dry?! it only references wet. my contis are fine in the wet.

i suppose the softer, the tackier and better grip in general or is that wrong?

They are MKIII's of the 4000 series I thought. Was not sure of their actual name but yes GP4000s MKII's

Best tyre I've ever used, you'll get about 2.5k out of a rear and 7.5k out of the front, just make sure that they're scrubbed-in before you go out in the wet.

    attack/force don't fit your 25mm bill
vitt corsa evo iii with the iso grip compound (in 23mm they are a big tire already) or the Mich pro 4, they have amazing dry grip, thanks to a slight triangulated profile and they r cheap :)

Comparing the Veloflex Corsas to the Pro 4 SCs - I find the Corsa's have much more grip - faster too.

Absolutely, unless you're buying some cheapo rubbish. And there are many supple "summer" tyres too. I've ridden and like Schwalbe Ultremo Evo's and Veloflex Pave (down to my last pair of natural sidewall ones). Also used to ride Michelin Pros, various versions (1,2, 3), all year round. All good, best riding the Pave's, then the Ultremo's and Pro's close together. Vittoria Open Corsa's are good too, although not necessarily that comfy at their recommended max pressures. The Michelin Pro4SC seem to be available cheaply at the moment, probably a run-out sale.
