As above really.
I've got some PX R50 carbon wheels and im thinking about doing a De-Sticker job on them.
Only problem is, theres a layer of Lacquer over them...whats the best way to strip it off ?

Kind regards.
Rich.

The best way is not to do it. Once the lacquer is set, you can only remove it by chemical paint stripping or sanding... neither is very good for the layers underneath...

Cheers Ugo, I wouldnt use any paint stripper on them, just in case it reacts with the carbon ! and sanding would take for ever.
I think i'll leave them as they are. Its only that the white "PLANET X" lettering stands out like a sore thumb !

Now...if i could get some Black PX decals to cover them...that would do the job. I'll go search for some.

Could cover the Planet X logo with black or carbon vinyl

Don't use paint stripper with dichloromethane on carbon if you want it to last very long - it attacks the epoxy matrix. Only real option is to use abrasives.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
