I'm planning a London to Paris trip (camping) over the summer and just wanted some advice on when is the best time to do it.

I'm essentially free from July until about the 22nd of September, which gives me the potential to go outside summer holidays in mid Sept.

What I don't know is if campsite availability will be better or worse outside of school holidays, or if its even effected at all. Weather's also a concern. I need to travel light, so warm both during the day and the night minimises clothing. Am I likely to notice price hikes on the Eurostar during peak school holidays which I could avoid by going later?

I'm not really sure at all, so if anyone has any general information on advantages of going at different times, that would be very useful.
