Finished ride, put bike away, all ok
2 days later go out for another ride, rear completely flat
Check tyre and replace tube, no sharp objects
Pump up old tube, 10 hours later it's still fully inflated
WTF?
Do I need to call a priest?

Some kind of final destination style chain of events?

a bit of string or cotton wrapped around the valve when you put it away, some this fell pulled the string releasing the valve and then landed on top releasing the air?

    that or squirrels did it!

Only if someone broke into my shed and let down one tyre, tightened the valve back up, locked the door, reactivated the alarm and locked up again.

    Dodgy valve or slow leak.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

  • Continental tube, with the removable valve cores?? ... if so, the core may not be tight enough out the box and needs tightened ever so slightly or you can get a slow leak.
