    I just read the Times Obit. Not a very savoury character, but he had a tough early life and did very well until the dodgy charge and conviction.

    All I knew about him as a youth was the Dylan song, which still resonates and stirs up some sort of response. Some of the rhymeds and scans are worse even than Dylan's norm, but the song is delivered with such power that it still rattles the brain.

    I am fairly confident this sort of miscarriage still happens in parts of the US.

    RIP.

    @ Debeli. To be honest I didn't know that much about the man either, only the story behind the song. I do think it's such a great song that it's partly why I posted! Miscarriages of justice are certainly still going on, and not just in parts of the US.
