Hi all,

Looking for a new pair of shoes around 100 Euro(80 Pound?)
I've a pair of DHB R1.0 (the cheap road ones.) I've fairly wide fitting feet, my DHBs are a 46. Found them a bit long, but width was grand. Found them fine so far, they've just been scuffed around the toe box from when I was starting out with SPDs

Trying to get a ratchet or even Boa so I can have a change than just all velcro again.
I'm mainly into racing so I guess I want stiffer soles than the DHBs or the same stiffness at the very least.

I've had a look at what's about and tried to limit myself to Wiggle (can get good enough deals with my Platinum pricing,) had a look at the Bont Riots but I'm quite wary of the stitching around the toe, incase I was to scuff them again, so they're ruled out.

Been looking at these three.

Northwave Sonic SRS (in white) In the reviews I've read of these, there seems to be a strong emphasis that these are sportive/recreational shoes? Refers to stiffness I presume?

Spiuk Brios (white again) Seem like a solid choice?

Shimano R088 Not sure what to make of these, plus unsure whether to go normal or wide fit :?

Hope the links work and sorry if anything is grammar is off.
Thanks for the help,
Cormac

Been riding Spiuk shoes for a while now, lovely shoes, sizing seems pretty close to regular shoe size (44 Spuiks, 44 Trainers both fit me grand), but they might suit narrow-medium feet better. I know I can get numbness in one foot, which is "thicker" than the other if I go for very thick socks and the winter insole at once.

Thanks MisterMuncher, interesting. I'm going to keep the DHBs as bad weather shoes so hopefully wouldn't fall foul of that problem :/

You really REALLY should be trying shoes on, I had my heart set on some Bont Riots recently but when I tried them on they felt terrible - they have a really high ankle which would have rubbed like hell. I tried on lots of Bonts in fact and didn't like any of them.

Thanks nawty, I tried explaining that to my Dad but it didn't work, there's no budging him on it :/
Have to buy online for due to the pricing over LBS and I wouldn't attempt to fit on ones in store and order online
