Hi all,
I've had my bionicon green village for about a year now and was thinking about taking the plunge and getting a full sus bike. I am by now means an expert rider, more beginner I would say.
I would like to know peoples thoughts on just buying a full sus frame and using the good bits off my green village. Is this something that's worth doing or should I just get a complete bike?http://bionicon.com/cloud_content/Bikes/Green_Village/EN_GreenVillage_specifications2013_121113_ssc.pdf

Any suggestions/ideas greatly received :-)
Cheers
Alan

On the Spec list it says Suntour XCT fork, which is a bit crap, but the picture of the Bike on the website shows an Epicon fork? Which have you got?

The label on the fork says epicon sr suntour. Not sure that helps much!

    Thanks for the reply

Yeah yeah you've got the Epicon, good news  Seems like a decent spec on the bike you currently have, and if you can pick up a second hand Full suspension frame with a half decent shock from Ebay or similar it should be easy enough to swap the parts. Some however may be slightly different and may require new parts, such as the seatpost, if your running a front derailleur the clamping area may be different, and also unless the frame you buy comes with them you might need to buy a new headset and bottom bracket, which would probably be advisable anyway.

I've always felt the best upgrade to any bike is a set of clipless pedals, after that you may want to look into a nicer fork. buy.gif
