Obviously the archetypes have had almost universal favourable reviews on this forum. Anybody got any opinions on the Ardennes and how they compare with the Archetypes?

The Ardennes have been super seeded by the Ardennes plus (also called Belgium plus) which are wider (25 mm) and tubeless ready. If money is no object, I would go for the Belgium plus, but I would not bother with the older 23 mm ones, as they are virtually identical to the Archetype.
If I manage to destroy the Stans, I'll get a set of disc ones for my cross bike (either those or the new Velocity Aileron)... yesterday I tried really hard, but didn't manage...left the forum March 20230 -

Actually more than double the price... hence my "if money was no object". Arguably a waste of money, but it's the price to pay for advertising. H plus Son's budget for advertising must be in the hundreds of pounds...left the forum March 20230 -
I thought it was 50p. The new ardennes rim is the same weight as the archetype but the old one is about 20g lighter.
I was looking at buying some from the U.S but the shipping costs man that makes silly money.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0 -

If you do, let me know... I might be interested to get a couple of pairs of the Plus Disc full black if they turn out cheaper than the UK priceleft the forum March 20230 -
Well I want a pair of Belgian C2 tubular rims and a pair of those disc brake rims.
http://www.artscyclery.com/Road_Bike_Ri ... b=RDMCOMPS $100 or so for shipping two rims. So a few more won't add too much. I am waiting on wheelbuilder to get back to me as art's don't have the 24H C2 tubular. Also I will check with HED next week and see what they have. VAT and duty will not make these cheaper though but it may make them available.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
