I have been using the Ritchey WCS II compact drop for a while now if that's what you are asking.

Errr....loads of people will have. I use Deda Zero 100 compact bars.

I like compact bars as they allow me to use the drops a lot more often, in contrast to most of my mates, who only seem to use them exclusively on downhill sections.

FSA are the major innovator as they flared the drops out by 4 degrees. Before that, Deda were the standard with their shallow drop Newtons. Bontrager RXL look quite good

I'd heard they disolve when they get wet. Best keep clear of them. Aluminium is where it is at.

Anyone tried 8-speed yet? Surely those gears are too close together to work reliably?

You may laugh but I have only just gone from a 6 speed down tube shifters to StI's in the last month.

Many now prefer compact to deeper drop bars, let's face it, as many of us get older our flexibility reduces and a compact bar with a shallower drop is often a most welcome relief!

FSA wing pro are very good. I find compact bars a little ugly but after trying deep drop, traditional etc I always went back to the wing pros - comfort (significant!) had to rule over aesthetics.

They also do a much cheaper version if you want to try them out - omegas. Not oval tops and the flare may be a little different but similar.
