I'd love to get my hands on a vintage (late 70's or 80's) Colnago or De Rosa, or something similar. Anyone got any suggestions on shops in or around London where I could go? Part of the reason for a shop rather than just picking something up online is that I want to make sure I'm going for the right size......

Bricl Lane Bikes, just off Brick Lane. Has the most comprehensive selection of exactly what you state, hanging on every spare inch of wall and ceiling.

+1 for brick Lane bikes if you are looking at nice italian frames... last time I went they had an awesome Bianchi frame... two actually... one was probably a 52 the other 58 or so. They always have 100 frames or so to choose from

I have bought all my 80's and 90's frames of retro bike. Never had a issue on there. In general honest sellers.

Agree on retro-bike - I buy and sell on there and never had an issue. Don't expect to find many bargains on Colnago or DeRosa - the two brands that are likely to attract the most interest and highest prices.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Ok, thanks guys. Will get onto Retro Bike too.

Am in the process of renovating my 1978 Motobecane too, so I'm a busy bunny at the minute.
