Garmin 810 question?

I have the garmin used to have the 500 I loved the way u could turn off the garmin and resume workout, great for commute. Is this possible with the 810?

    Not used it but I imagine that until you hold the reset button for 4 seconds the workout will continue...

    It certainly works for the 800, I do it all the time. I don't see why it wouldn't for the 810.

    I've done it a few times with the 800, none of them on purpose :oops:

    The 810 is different ...

    when you hit stop you get the choice of save/discard on the screen - if you wish to do neither of these then swipe the screen to another one or turn the GPS off. When you power back on you can carry on your ride.
    If you just turn the GPS off it very helpfully forgets about all the data it's just recorded ...
