I have some contacts in one of the bigger second tier firms in London if you're interested. No guarantees but worth a shot.

Indeed. You can count that guy's coherent posts on the fingers of one hand - and still have enough left to hold an espresso cup....0 -
How about taking a re-sit to get in with the required grades ?
Or go for AAT and the CIMA route rather than be an Auditor at the big 4 - they do work you like a dogsbody.
I'm a CIMA qualified, many many years ago at the age of 23.0 -
Agreed with re-sit. If it was a bad day, worth trying to up the grades and get what you want.
It's tricky to think of somewhere who would hire someone in your position - mostly because there is such a demand for graduates that they can be particularly choosy and take people with degrees. I think you may have to do quite a bit of research and find local firms who may train you.
I also agree with you about getting in the door - I had the same. I have an otherwise good CV (if I say so myself) but sadly wasn't ACA qualified as I was fired from a big 4 when double failing my final exam, which was a bit of a blight when looking for another role. My subsequent 3 jobs (I moved a couple of times until I found what I wanted) have all said how well I interviewed.

Even the yellow pages isn't such a stupid idea.
ACA is an excellent qualification, but also look at CIMA (can be studied anywhere) and ACCA. ACA needs to be studied at an accredited institution.0 -
