Need some new pads for my XT brakes, the standard resin ones seem to make a hell of a racket if you leave the bike for a couple of weeks and with the Cotic stood for a month it's horrendous, no power at all and huge amounts of noise, happened before and just bought the stock shimano pads but it's happened again so looking for something else. Had bad experience with superstar pads in the past so not interested in those, anyone have any good recommendations for other brands? Looked at nukeproof pads and a few others but with no experience of them thought I'd ask on here :) Cheers!

Use Superstar in all my brakes and my mates. Never had any problem, so never had the need to look else where.

I had the same problem with the std shimano resin pads in my SLX's. Leave the bike for more than a week, sounded like a goose on drugs and had no stopping power at all. Changed for SS kevlar and they are pretty damn great irrelevant of how long the bike has stood.

Yeah think I'm gonna move away from the resin pads, while they seem to last well under constant use if you leave them they just squeal like hell, no power and they're straight in the bin. Might try the sintered Shimano pads and see how they hold up
