People selling used saddles.

Does anyone else think it's amusing when people are trying to sell saddles with pretty severe scuffs and abrasions to them, then advertise them as marks where they've rested the bike against a wall? When really they're obviously a result of them either stacking it, or not clipping out in time.
I mean seriously, who rests their bike against a wall and then drags it along said wall while applying pressure? I rest my bike against fences and walls all the time and my saddle is unmarked. Makes me giggle.

Agreed. ...I think often these people don't look after their bikes at all, if they think they do that's only a fact in their tiny mind. It is amazing how poor the condition of a lot of s/h stuff is really, take rear mechs for instance, people often say 'really good condition' when photos show they are scratched to f***.0 -
I suppose it comes down to someone's perception of 'good condition'One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0

I've never crashed my bike.
I did once decide to lie down whilst riding my MTB down a slippery slope, unfortunately my seat developed a cut whilst I was getting comfy on the ground.0 -

They probably got the scratches from 'resting against a wall'. :roll:0 -

Is this not the same as people selling used bibshorts ignoring the fact they will have had skidmarks on them?0

I know it starts with shoes, but it's about saddles too!0 -
It's funny what people will buy though sometimes. I advertised a saddle, noting it had been damaged in a spectacular crash, scuffed and a big chunk out of the padding. Took pics of the shredded bits. Still sold it for a silly price I thought, but hey, took their moneyOpen One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0

Why is everything on eBay 'used once' ?
I saw some Look KeO cleats last week which the buyer said had been 'used once' - he must have used them for good day's Munro Bagging in the Cairngorms...0 -
I don't get how people can buy second hand 'Bib shorts'
They have had some ones sweaty bum in inside! It's as bad as buying second hand knickers.
Eeewwww!0 -
I reckon Doris Day's second hand knickers would sell for a decent price at a Hollywood memorabilia auction0
