To go tubeless or not?

I'm currently running Ultegra 6700's which can be set-up to go tubeless. Could anyone give me any advice on whether its worth it or not. I use the bike for a 25 mile commute and then a club ride at the weekend?

Thanks

  • I've been tubeless and puncture free on all my bikes (road, winter tt and mtb) for a couple of years now so go for it!

I use 23mm Hutchinson fusion 3s with 90psi on the front and 100 on the back. They give a nice smooth ride and are good and grippy in the bends. The first pair wore out after about 2000 miles. No punctures. You have to remember not to inflate with the valve at the bottom of the wheel otherwise it can clog up with sealant otherwise no problems.

    They will eventually catch on!

It depends how many punctures you are likely to have ;)
