I can't remember which way round it is but do you put spacers behind a 10 speed cassette or a 9 speed. Un-shipped my chain behind the cassette recently ( what a pig) and notice a spacer behind the cassette and as it's a 10 speed I was wondering whether this is the wrong way round.

You have to put a spacer behind a 10 speed cassette if going on a shimano cassette except Tiagra which don't require it.

Many thanks. I thought that was the case but had started to have doubts because of the two incidents I had with the chain going over the back of the cassette. I thought perhaps I had got the 9/10 speed spacer requirement the wrong way round.

If the chain drops off the back of the cassette, then the limit screw on the rear dérailleur needs adjusting.
