GARMIN VECTOR serial number?

does anyone know where the serial number is for garmin vector pedals?
the website says its on the box, tried putting one of the numbers in and thats not it and the other is the barcode,

    There is a number etched into the stainless steel bit that is located next to where the pod goes. Never found it on the box either. Isn't the web full of well meaning errors?

    However, trying to register your vectors as a Garmin device doesn't work. I tried it last week

    You have to go to the Garmin Vector website for updates. Didn't need to register the pedals at all. The aerial thing found the software version and did the update. Did it last week & now I can have pedal smoothness and torque effectiveness readings. Whatever they mean!
