I like the Green Lantern's bike... but the bar's angle is unforgivable

Isn't it supposed to follow the line of the stem? I don't know, so feel free to enlighten me..
  • Might be partly the angle of the photo but the bars look as if they need tilting down a bit, on the De Rosa, compare with how the bars look on the other bike, which look more correct.

The bottom part of the drop bars should be almost horizontal, yours are more like 45 degrees. Look at the other bike for comparison, which is a lot better

    Nice italian collection.

Except the Olmo which is a Spanish company, not the original Olmo ;)

Think you are confusing the spanish owned Olmo http://www.olmobikes.com/productos/Bicicleta/
    with the Italian http://www.olmo.it/eng/Road.aspx

Apologies - easy to mix up my Spanish owned and Italian owned companies of the same name who probably use the same Far East factory to make their frames :)

No problem, although the Spanish owned version don't do road bikes so they should be fairly easy to tell apart :)
  • Love the 'Olmo'

Colnago or Tommasini I would say.

Personally I don't think Colnago bikes are anywhere as stylish as De Rosa, they seem gaudy to me in comparison. Perhaps their top end are better frames though.

    Are Tommasini still producing?

This merak makes me want a carbon bike... :/

Tommasini still going strong. I was on the verge of buying a Tecno when the Colnago I'd been lusting after for years became available...

I love a De Rosa. I had always dreamed of owning one and was lucky enough last year to join the De Rosa club with my lowely Milanino.

Although I feel incredibly lucky it does not stop me lusting after Meraks, Superkings and the Protos! Your's is fantastic. Absolutely stunning colour scheme. Personally I would go for black bar tape and saddle and let the frame shine through but that's just personal taste. If you ever want to sell it let me know and
I'll put the family on eBay.

That De Rosa is gorgeous, think I prefer the look of the Quatros however.

Thanks guys, GMB i had been looking for a good second hand Milanino for a while without success, so eventually bought the Olmo - if one came up i would probably still be interested!
    Not many Milanino's around however.
I had black tape and a black saddle on it until recently but just fancied a change :)

I love the colours of the De rosa, lovely looking bike. But I don't like the bar shape, it doesn't suit the bike. Nice shallow drop would look cool. But I appreciate it's all about what works for you and not what looks good in a photo!

You've missed some of the bars around the hoods.
Great looking bike though. Love the Zondas. Frame would look great with some deep section wheels!

Looks far better with the new bar position and if you were to take another picture against a white background such as a garage door the bike will look the Dogs Boxxocks mate.
