Anyone have any ideas where I can buy a set of dura ace 9000 skewers from? The regular sites I look at, like ribblecycles, wiggle, merlin cycles, etc... don't seem to stock these items.

There is a 163mm and a 168mm listed, not sure which is for road bike use or what the difference is other than 5mm!Cheers, Stu0 -
They are a very expensive cosmetic upgrade over the cheaper Shimano skewers. I don't think they are any better or any lighter than Ultegra, 105 or even Deoreleft the forum March 20230

In fact they are slightly heavier than the Ultegra skewers. Got one with a hub and was surprised to find it was a couple of grams extra. I think the action on the Ultegra skewers is slightly better too.0 -
I don't usually post exclamations about prices of parts, because let's face it this is cycling and logic doesn't always apply.
But $120 for a pair of skewers is insanity!

they are very good, but ultimately anything skewer wise thats 105 and up is perfectly good. the dura ace ones look bling and are very reliable. but thats it.
weight weenies love their lightweight skewers but i'd rather have reliability over light weight.0
